This summer, SCC is hosting a unique event opportunity for high school athletic directors, coaches and teachers looking for new ways to raise funds for their programs.  The goal of the event is to encourage schools to be more proactive in the way they market and promote high school sports and/or events as a means not only for generating much needed revenue for their programs but also to create an outlet for hands-on business education.

The conference will be very informal in nature and provide a forum for encouraging the exchanging of ideas, sharing best practices and networking. Workshops will feature teachers who have successfully marketed school sports and events, industry professionals to offer advice on selling sponsorships, tickets and hearing from two special guest speakers (Rudy Ruettiger & Darnell Valentine). Mark Warkentien, Denver Nuggets General Manager and winner of the 2009 NBA Executive of the Year Award, will also be visiting with our group.  In addition, the event will provide excellent networking and idea exhange opportunities.
